ED raids at 40 places across the country: ED will question Jain.
It is being told that in this connection, the ED has obtained permission from a local court to interrogate the jailed Delhi minister Satyendar Jain.
It is expected that the agency will interrogate Jain in Tihar Jail today i.e. Friday, Where he has been imprisoned since his arrest by the ED on May 30 in another money laundering case.
Jain will be questioned on these dates.
If sources are to be believed, the ED has been authorized to question 57-year-old Satyendar Jain on September 16, 22, and 23 in the latest case.
Let us tell you that Jain, a minister without a portfolio in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Delhi government, had the responsibility of health and energy departments before he was taken into custody by the ED.
How did the controversy arise?
Sources said the ED had sought permission from a local court to record Jain’s statement in connection with the cabinet approval given by the AAP government to implement the new excise policy, which it got.
The ED case of money laundering in excise policy stems from a CBI FIR in which Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and some bureaucrats have been made accused.
The excise policy has now been withdrawn.

Countering this sting operation, Sisodia said in the press conference that the CBI raid was done at my place. But the CBI got nothing.
If this sting is true, then within four days, after conducting a CBI inquiry, arrest me.
This sting is related to Amit Arora who is also an accused in the FIR registered by the CBI in the alleged scam case in the Excise Policy.
