ED Arrested The Brother Of TMC Leader Vinay Mishra

ED arrested the brother of TMC leader Vinay Mishra, close to Abhishek Banerjee ahead of Bengal elections.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested the brother of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Vinay Mishra from Delhi in connection with the coal and animal trafficking scam.

This information was given by an officer of the Enforcement Directorate. A special court in Delhi has also sent him on 6 days ED remand.

Vinay Mishra is considered to be very close to Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Vinay Mishra is also a leader of the Trinamool Congress and is being monitored by the investigating officers in both cases.

After receiving an open warrant against Vinay Mishra, close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and MP Abhishek Banerjee, in the coal and animal trafficking case, the CBI now issued a red corner notice.

The CBI believed that Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Vinay Mishra is hiding somewhere in the Middle East.

His name came to light only a few months ago, when it was alleged by the BJP that he was a special of Abhishek Banerjee and saw the transaction of illegal business money.

Significantly, a CBI team went to the residence of Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee on February 23 in connection with the coal and animal trafficking case and questioned his wife Rujira in the case.

In the same case, the agency had also interrogated Rujira’s sister Maneka Gambhir a day earlier. Apart from CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also investigating the illegal coal mining case.

Supreme Court refuses to hear the petition of Soumendu Adhikari, brother of Suvendu Adhikari.

The Supreme Court refused to hear the petition challenging the Calcutta High Court order of BJP leader Soumendu Adhikari.

The BJP leader had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the removal from the post of Administrator of Kanthi Municipality in East Medinipur district.

The High Court had ordered the adjournment of his petition. Soumendu is the brother of former Bengal minister Suvendu Adhikari.

A bench of Justices NV Raman, Justice Suryakant, and Justice Anirudh Bose allowed the Soumendu officer to withdraw the petition and granted him the liberty to petition the High Court to request a speedy hearing in the case.
