Dussen And Pietersen At The Crease: SA vs IND

Dussen and Pietersen at the crease, Three wickets fell for South Africa.

Today is the second day of the Test match being played between India and South Africa in Cape Town.

The three-match series is tied at 1-1. By winning this match, India wants to win the Test series for the first time in South Africa. Team India was all out for 223 runs in the first innings on the first day.

At the time of writing the news, South Africa had scored 88 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Van der Dussen and Keegan Petersen at the crease.

South Africa’s first innings, Bumrah got Elgar and Mark.

South Africa did not start well. Captain Dean Elgar was dismissed for three runs off Jasprit Bumrah. Then the team’s score was 10 runs.

At the end of the day’s play, South Africa was 17 for one and were 206 runs behind at the base of the first innings. Aidan Markram was playing eight and Keshav Maharaj was scoring six runs.

As soon as the second day’s play started, Bumrah made Markram walk on the second ball. He could only score eight runs. Umesh Yadav walks Keshav Maharaj for 25 runs.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli (79) faced Kagiso Rabada with a tough South African pace bowler as the team crossed 200 on the opening day of the third and final Test against South Africa here on Tuesday.

Kohli, who did not play in the last Test due to back pain, could not score a century here but he took the team to 223 runs.

India won the toss and decided to bat first. India lost both their openers early in the morning session. After this Kohli landed.

After playing 15 balls, he opened the account with a brilliant cover drive. He hit another beautiful cover drive on Marco Jensen in the afternoon session.

Apart from this, he also hit a six off Rabada’s ball. Rabada wreaked havoc in his seven-over spell, but Kohli held on to him with the same restraint and discipline.

Kohli and Pujara took over.

India’s score was 33 for two at one time. Kohli and Pujara took over the innings. Pujara was very active in releasing any balls. It took 15 balls for Kohli to open the account.

Both the batsmen shared 62 runs for the third wicket. The Indian team added 66 runs in the second session, losing the wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara (43) and Ajinkya Rahane (09).

Pujara fell victim to Jensen’s beautiful ball. Coming in from around the wicket, taking an angle, the ball took the outer edge of Pujara’s bat and went into the hands of the wicketkeeper.

Rahane could not do much. Wickets were falling from one side and on the other side, Virat was holding the ends. Rabada’s ball fell between the fourth-fifth stumps.

Good length ball tipped and comes out. Kohli wanted to take a single on it but the ball took the outer edge of the bat and went into the wicketkeeper’s glove.

He was dismissed for nine wickets for a total of 211 runs.
