Dozens of houses damaged due to incessant rains in Tamil Nadu, 10-11 will be a holiday in schools and colleges.

Incessant heavy rains have thrown life out of gear in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Dozens of thatched pucca houses have collapsed.

So far five people have died due to incessant rains in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, 538 huts and four pucca houses have been damaged.

State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister KKSSR Ramachandran gave this information and expressed apprehension that the death toll may increase.

The state received an average of 16.84 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, he said. Chengalpet district has recorded maximum rainfall during this period.

A cyclonic circulation is persisting over South Andaman Sea, under which a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas.

Due to this, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, a trough is extending from the cyclonic circulation over southeast Bengal to southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast.

During the next 24 hours, isolated light to moderate rains is likely over Tamil Nadu, parts of Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain is also possible over South Interior Karnataka. Light rain may occur at isolated places over Lakshadweep, parts of Telangana, and South Odisha.

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and a low-pressure area has formed over the same area.

Very likely to concentrate into a Depression over Southwest and adjoining areas.

Crisis not averted, cyclonic storm warning.

A warning of heavy rain has been issued in Tamil Nadu on November 10 and 11. The Meteorological Department says that a low-pressure area is forming in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal.

Due to this there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm. The storm is likely to hit the Tamil Nadu coast on November 11. At least nine districts of the state can be affected by this.
