According to the news agency, in this ceremony held on Sunday in Namakkal, A. Raja said, “As long as Periyar was alive, he kept on demanding a separate Tamil Nadu.

Our Chief Minister (Stalin) is following the path of Anna (Annadurai). Don’t force us to take the Periyar route.

We humbly request Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to give the right to self-government to our state.”

A Raja further said that we are in power in Tamil Nadu and we are not saying this out of pride in power.

DMK has dropped the demand for a separate Tamil Nadu state, but now we are demanding autonomy for the state.

It is worth noting that when the DMK MP said this while addressing the party leaders, CM Stalin was also present there.

DMK MP Raja threatens to raise the issue of separate Tamil Nadu: According to media reports, he did not say anything on this issue and kept silent.

DMK MP Raja alleged that the central government has more powers, while the state governments have to rely on the Center in many matters.
