Djokovic and Nadal to play in ATP Cup 2021, Corona protocol is strict in Aus Open.

ATP Cup champion Novak Djokovic and runner-up Rafael Nadal are set to return to the men’s team tennis competition starting February 1.

Due to the change in format, the US team will not be able to take part in it. The first ATP Cup was played last year in which 24 teams participated.

The tournament was played in three cities in Australia and in the final in Sydney, Djokovic’s Serbian team defeated Nadal’s Spanish team 2–1 to win the title.

This time the competition will be held from February 1 to 5, with 12 teams playing.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this time the entire competition will be played in Melbourne Park along with the WTA and ATP tournaments. This will be followed by the Australian Open.

The draws will be drawn on 20 January.

The teams are divided into four groups. The teams in each group will take on each other on a round-robin basis and the team at the top will advance to the semi-finals.

In the ATP Cup, rankings are given based on the top player of each team. Host Australia has been given a wild card entry.

Other participating countries include Serbia, Spain, Austria, Russia, Greece, Germany, Argentina, Italy, Japan, France and Canada.
