Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni on Friday said that leaders like Digvijay Singh, Mehbooba Mufti, and Farooq Abdullah stand with the Taliban.

He asked whether he agreed with the views of the Taliban regarding women. If not, they should openly oppose it. Mohan Bhagwat did not say that women should be confined only to household chores.

We have the largest number of women ministers in our government and we are continuously working for the empowerment of women.

Earlier, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh had claimed that the RSS and Taliban have similar views on women.

“Taliban says women are not eligible to be ministers,” he tweeted. Mohan Bhagwat has said that women should stay at home and look after the household chores. Aren’t these two similar ideas?

On Kapil Sibal’s tweet, Teni said that for these people everything is about elections. People have rejected him. We have done a really good job on our policy on Afghanistan.

We have evacuated our people and have continuously made it clear to him that we want to keep our people safe.

Sibal had said that before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the central government will try to take advantage of the Taliban rule in Afghanistan for its own benefit.

BSPsupremo Mayawati on Friday announced that the party would field its state president Bhim Rajbhar from the Mau assembly constituency in place of Mukhtar Ansari in the state assembly elections.

She said the party ticket will not be available for mafia or ‘Bahubali’, they should be defeated. The UP assembly elections are due next year.
