Demand for regulation on the OTT platform buzzed in Lok Sabha after the ‘Tandava’ and ‘Mirzapur 2’ controversy.

Two MPs of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha on Friday requested the government to bring the content and OTT platforms shown on the OTT platform within the purview of the rules.

The reason behind this is that many OTT platforms promote violence, drugs, And dehumanizing Hindu deities. The whole meaning of OTT is an over-the-top media services platform.

BJP MP Manoj Kotak kept this topic in the Lok Sabha in the Zero Hour. He said, ‘Some web series are promoting violence and drugs on the basis of freedom of expression’.

He also said that in some web series Hindu Gods and Goddesses are humiliated.

Manoj Kotak demanded from the government that it should be investigated by the regulating authority in view of the bad impact on the youth of India from the content being shown through the OTT platform.

He also said that Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar Disney There are at least 40 OTT platforms like Plus.

Manoj Kotak also said that scenes were also removed from some web series recently when FIRs were filed which accused him of humiliating Hindu deities.

Demand for regulation on the OTT platform: Another BJP MP Kirit Solanki said, ‘India The culture and civilization is being attacked in the name of entertainment.

There is a lot of controversial content being shown by OTT platforms, due to which the youth of the country are becoming dominant.

Kirit Solanki further said, ‘I will request the Information and Broadcasting Minister to regulate OTT content with immediate effect’.

It is noteworthy that two web series named ‘Tandava’ and ‘Mirzapur 2’ have been accused of Hindu Goddess- They have not only humiliated the deities but have also created false content intentionally towards the Hindu community.
