Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shakun Batra, Deepika’s film has got a name as well as a release date and platform, which were announced on Monday.

Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karwa, and Ananya Pandey are also part of the main star cast in this film along with Deepika.

The release of Gahriyaan was announced with a teaser, which featured the four main characters. Scenes from the romantic relationship between Siddhant and Dipika have also been included.

Gheeriyaan is produced by Viacom18 in association with Dharma Productions. The film touches on the complexity of relationships in modern times and aspects like freedom, adulting.

Deepika Padukone’s OTT debut: Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor will also be seen in important roles in the film.

Ghehriyaan will stream on Amazon Prime Video on January 25. With this film, Deepika Padukone will debut in the world of OTT platforms, and in 2022, the account of her films will open.

However, before this, Deepika will be seen in 83 releasing on December 24, in which she plays Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil.

Deepika’s last released film is Chhapaak, which was released in theaters in 2020. Deepika completed the shooting of Gheeriyan during the Corona period itself.

Shakun Batra had earlier directed Kapoor & Sons, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Rishi Kapoor in central roles.

Kapoor & Sons was also a story of tangled relationships between different members of a family.
