Deadlock was broken, agreement on two demands of farmers, brainstorm on January 4 on remaining issues: Farmers Protest.

Talks with agrarian farmers’ organizations on agrarian reforms on Wednesday were largely successful.

The government has agreed to accept these demands. A meeting has been called again on January 4 to discuss the remaining two demands, in which they are also expected to be resolved.

A committee of experts may be agreed to object to the new agricultural laws being raised.

Agriculture Minister Tomar, who came out after the talks were over, insisted that two major demands of the farmers have been agreed.

The first of these is about the environmental ordinance, which mentions the farmer and the straw. The farmers demanded that the provisions for legal action against them be dropped.

Government agrees on the issue of irrigation.

Tomar said that the government is aware of this. Similarly, the second concern of the farmers was regarding the Electricity Bill Amendment Bill.

At present, this bill has not been introduced in Parliament. Farmer leaders fear that if this law comes, they will suffer a lot.

Farmers demand that the subsidy for irrigation should continue as the state gives. The government has agreed to his demand.

The process lasted more than two and a half decades.

During the meeting, it was said on behalf of the government that the farmer leaders were told about the new agricultural laws that the process of making them has lasted more than two and a half decades.

So it will take time to adopt a process like removing them. For this, an expert committee can be set up to prepare its report on the goodness and shortcomings of the law.

It is a constitutional process that needs to be completed.

Willing to give written trust to MSP.

Government is ready to give written assurance on MSP. In order to ensure that farmers do not get less than the MSP, the implementation of Bhavantar Yojana can be arranged effectively.

It is clear that the problem will be solved. Great apprehensions were being raised about the success of the sixth round of government’s talks with the farmers’ organizations.

There was apprehension of apprehensions.

In fact, the United Kisan Morcha spread sensation on Tuesday evening by sending a letter with its agenda to the government. They said that they would focus discussion on these issues.

The government will have to agree on the cancellation of new laws and the legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP).

Despite this, the government was confident that this time they would be able to convince the peasant leaders. They will be made aware of the real facts.

Ministers enjoy langar with farmers.

The talks, which started at two and a half in the afternoon at Vigyan Bhavan, lasted several hours. During this, there was lunch and two tea breaks.

Farmer leaders, like earlier talks, had also called for their lunch this time. In the lunch break, Union ministers Narendra Tomar, Piyush Goyal, and Som Prakash reached to eat their langar.

During this, informal conversation with each other was also held. This informal negotiation proved to be very effective in breaking the deadlock in the negotiations.

During the tea break, the political status of peasant organizations was also told jokingly.
