Cyclone Tauktae: flood threat in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Vistara-Indigo flights may be affected. A low-pressure area is forming over the Lakshadweep Islands and the Arabian Sea.

Vistara and Indigo airlines have warned of flights to Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Ahmedabad in view of inclement weather.

The storm is expected to hit Indian shores on 18 May. First of all, it is expected to hit the coastal areas of Gujarat. Before this, heavy rain is expected in Lakshadweep on 15 May.
