Cyclone in Tamil Nadu: Cyclone will hit the coast of Tamil Nadu again on December 4. Tamil Nadu is likely to be hit once again by a cyclone on 4 December.

The Cyclone Warning Department of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that the cyclone could hit Tamil Nadu for the second time in a week.

IMD said that due to deep pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the cyclonic storm is likely to intensify by late night.

The Cyclone Warning Division of the IMD said the Sri Lankan coast is likely to cross over to Trichonmali during the evening or night of 2 December.

The speed of the cyclone is expected to range from 75-80 km per hour to 90 km.

After this, the cyclone is expected to move westwards. The cyclone is likely to hit the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin region on the morning of 3 December.

It will then move almost west-south-west and is likely to cross the South Tamil Nadu coast between Kanyakumari and Pamban in the early morning of December 4.

Last week a very severe cyclonic storm affected the southern states and millions of people were evacuated.

Cyclone can change the low pressure born in the Bay of Bengal

A low pressure over the Bay of Southeast Bengal is moving towards the west. This low pressure can take the form of a cyclone in six hours.

Do not land in the Lakshadweep-Maldives region and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea on December 3-4.

Two fishermen drowned when a boat capsized near the coast in Mangalore; Four people missing

A major accident occurred in Mangalore due to the overturning of a boat near the coast.

On Tuesday, two fishermen were drowned after a boat which went fishing in the Arabian Sea off Mangaluru coast. Four fishermen are still missing while 16 have been rescued.

Police said a total of 22 fishermen were aboard the boat at the time of the incident. The missing persons are being searched by local fishermen and Coastguards.

The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) advised fishermen not to venture into the sea on 3 and 4 December and predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places in the south coastal parts of the country and Lakshadweep.
