Court sent the PFI leader to judicial custody in Kerala. The child who raised provocative slogans in the PFI rally was given training, and the officer of SDPI was the instructor.

A 10-year-old boy who raised provocative slogans against Hindus and Christians was trained at a Popular Front of India (PFI) rally in Alappuzha on May 21.

Alappuzha police probing the case have mentioned this in their remand report filed. The police remand report states that the child was trained by an SDPI official, a resident of Ernakulam.

It has also been found that the mentor is a close friend of the child’s father. The child’s father was also among 26 people who organized the rally. The child’s father has been arrested.

The incident of provocative sloganeering took place on May 21, but the police swung into action after the Kerala High Court made strong remarks on two occasions.

The High Court had asked the government to take action against those who used the child for provocative sloganeering.

Last week, the child’s father told the media that no one had taught the child. The child himself raised slogans. He also said that similar slogans were raised earlier also when no action was taken.

Why is this happening now? The police are now considering whether the child needs to be sent for counseling.

Court sent the PFI leader to judicial custody

A Kerala court has sent a Popular Front of India (PFI) leader to 14-day judicial custody in jail.

A day earlier on Sunday, he was arrested for raising provocative slogans by a 10-year-old child at the organization’s rally.

A senior district police officer confirmed that Yahya Thangal has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the district court.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against Thangal for illegally holding the meeting and making derogatory remarks against the judges of the Kerala High Court in it.

Thangal had said that the vests of the judges are saffron.
