Congress Will Enter The Fray With Five Parties In The Assam Polls

Congress will enter the fray with five parties In the 2021 Assam assembly elections. The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee said on Tuesday that it will contest the upcoming assembly elections by forging an alliance with five parties to oust the BJP from power.

Assam PCC President Ripun Bora said that after discussions with various parties, it has been decided that the Congress will contest the elections along with All India United Democratic Front, CPI, CPI (M), CPI (ML), and Zonal Front.

The Rajya Sabha MP said, “Our doors are open to all anti-BJP parties and we invite regional political parties to join hands for our fight with BJP.” He said that the Congress has taken the lead to exclude all communal powers in the best interest of the state and the nation.

Bora said that the party has considered the upcoming Assam elections very seriously for the state and is commanded by senior leaders.

A high-level Congress team led by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, including AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, Bihar Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmed, and party’s Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh and representatives, discussed are doing.
