Congress And NC Will Fight DDC Elections Together

Congress and NC will fight DDC elections together, almost agree on seats: Jammu Kashmir DDC Election.

The Congress has decided to contest the District Development Council (DDC) elections in association with the National Conference.

Although there is no open alliance between the two parties at the state level openly, according to the phases of the elections, seats have almost been agreed upon.

Seats will be divided on the basis of consent only.

State Congress Committee Chief Spokesperson Ravindra Sharma and other senior leaders had a four-and-a-half-hour long meeting with Divisional Head of National Conference Devendra Rana and Ratan Lal Gupta.

After much brainstorming, it was decided that on the seat on which the basis of the two parties will be strong, that party will put up its candidate and the other will support.

In some seats, if there is equal competition, both will stand their candidates. The final decision remains.

After the meeting with the National Conference, the Congress also held its meeting, in which the names of the candidates were discussed.

Since Thursday is the last day of filing nomination papers for the first phase of elections, the list will be released in the morning.

Reliable sources say that the party has asked its candidates to be ready to fill the nomination papers.

Leaders who were not made candidates in the Assembly elections or who could not be candidates in the Block Development Development Election will be given a chance.

The state head of the Congress GA Mir has indicated this.

We will contest elections together in districts: Ravindra Sharma

Congress chief spokesperson Ravindra Sharma says that the party is not going to form any alliance with anyone at the state level, but will form a consensus on seats at the district level with the National Conference.

We will fight elections together in districts. Ravindra Sharma said that we have taken permission from the party high command to cooperate on the seats. He said that secular parties should unite to defeat BJP.

Congress has supported us: Rana

NC’s Jammu division chief Devendra Singh Rana said that our aim is not to gain power but to protect the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Hence the People’s Alliance is formed. Congress has also supported us.

There has been a discussion with the Congress on the coordination of seats in the District Development Council elections, but no final decision has been taken. Negotiations will continue.

Last day of first phase nomination today

NC, PDP, CPI-M, CPI, Jammu Kashmir People’s Conference, Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement and Awami National Conference are part of the People’s Alliance.

The Congress is not part of the People’s Alliance, but it supports its agenda. For the DDC election starting in eight phases from October 28, Thursday, November 12 is the last day for the first phase nomination.

The People’s Alliance is going to announce the names of its candidates on Thursday. It is only waiting for the stance of the Congress.
