CM Basavaraj Bommai’s Statement: Schools Will Open From Monday

CM Basavaraj Bommai’s statement on the order of the High Court, said- ‘Schools will open from Monday, appeal to all to maintain peace: Hijab Row.

The Karnataka High Court has adjourned till Monday hearing on petitions challenging the state government’s rules on dress code in schools.

Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi has said that students cannot insist on the religious dress from schools and colleges. During the hearing, the court said that orders should be issued to reopen the colleges.

At the same time, the reaction of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has come on the order of the High Court.

CM Basavaraj Bommai’s statement: He said that the last two days have been very peaceful.

Today, a 3-member bench of the High Court adjourned the matter for Monday and appealed for reopening of all schools, but no religious dress code should be followed by both parties.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that I appeal to all to work together and have peace in colleges. Schools will open for classes from Monday to the 10th. Degree colleges will open later.

The court has also directed to restore peace in the area. Significantly, on Thursday, a three-judge bench heard the matter in the court.

On Wednesday, Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi had constituted a three-judge bench, which includes herself, for hearing on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by Justice Krishna S Dixit and Justice J M Khaji on hearing various petitions related to the issue today.

During the hearing, the counsel for the petitioner made several arguments against the decision of the government.

Hijab Row: Petition on hijab dispute filed in Supreme Court, cited constitutional fundamental right.

The case of the Karnataka hijab controversy has now reached the Supreme Court. A new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on Thursday on the Hijab controversy.

In which the right to practice religion has been described as a fundamental right in the constitution. The petition has been filed by Youth Congress President BV Srinivas and a journalism student.

This petition states that there is a direct violation of fundamental rights, and also incidents are happening in many states, which is likely to spread further.

So it would be better and appropriate that the top court takes cognizance of it.
