Clash Between BJP And TMC Workers: West Bengal

Clash between BJP and TMC workers, fire on several vehicles: West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit West Bengal today.

Tight security arrangements have been made in the state regarding PM’s visit. Meanwhile, a Clash between BJP and TMC workers is reported in Howrah. The BJP has accused the TMC of assault.

Local BJP leader says, ‘Our workers were attacked today. If TMC wants to do this kind of politics, they will be answered in the same language.

Let us know that PM Modi is coming to West Bengal on Saturday to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

During this time, PM will preside over the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Parakram Divas’ function in Victoria Memorial Hall. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also invited to the event.

In Jarenga Pothar, Princess Joymati sacrificed for her husband, PM Modi’s rally in this ground

The BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has also performed well in the northeastern states. The party wants to repeat it again and elections are due in Assam this year.

That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Saturday. He rallied at the Jarenga Pothar in Sivasagar. Jerenga Pothar has a different historical significance.

It was in this ground that 17th-century princess Joymati sacrificed her life for her husband. Sivasagar was earlier known as Rangpur.

It belongs to the powerful Ahom dynasty, which ruled Assam for six centuries (1228–1826). It is a part of Upper Assam.

The Jerenga Plateau is an open ground in the city of Sivasagar. It is surrounded by villages all around. On rare occasions it is used for important events.

Ahom of the 17th century is popular because of the heroism of Princess Joymati. Much was written about the courage and bravery of the Ahom kings, but the story of Princess Joymati was ignored until the late 19th century.

From 1671 to 1681, the rule of Ahom kings went through a period of considerable turmoil. The unskilled chief servants had increased the troubles of the kings.

Meanwhile, Sulikhapa and his Prime Minister Lalukasla Borfukan, known as Lora Raja, had killed many of their successors to gain the reigns.
