CISF Caught Three Passengers With Foreign Currency Of 40 Lakhs

CISF caught three passengers with foreign currency of 40 lakhs at IGI airport, preparations were on to go from Mumbai to Bangkok.

The security agency CISF team at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) has succeeded in apprehending three passengers with foreign currency of 40 lakhs.

This foreign currency has been recovered in US Dollar and Euro.

The three arrested passengers have been identified as Rajan Singh, Alok Kumar, and Sushil Singh who were on Air India flight number AI-887 to Bangkok via Mumbai.

CISF caught three passengers: According to a CISF spokesperson, an air passenger was seen standing suspiciously in the check-in area of ​​Terminal 3 of IGI Airport.

When the team did his behavior detection, some changes were seen in him. After this, the surveillance and intelligence team checked his luggage and was diverted towards the random checking point.

During the screening with the X-ray machine, a suspicious image of the currency kept hidden in his bag was seen, which was informed to the CISF and customs officers.

After this, he was allowed to go through the check-in process.

During interrogation, he has been identified as Rajan Singh.

Based on the information received from him and the CCTV footage, the CISF team came to know about his two other accomplices, who were about to leave on the same flight.

Acting on this, the team also managed to nab two other passengers, Alok Kumar and Sushil Singh, from the check-in and domestic retail area.

After this, the three passengers along with their luggage were taken to the Customs Departure.

When their luggage was searched in the presence of customs officers, 34 thousand 200 US dollars and 15 thousand 700 euros were recovered from them.

It was cleverly hidden in the card box of children’s clothes and the box of bangles kept in the luggage.

To avoid detection, a false layer was made inside the box, and cardboard was placed over it. The value of the recovered dollars and euros is said to be 40 lakhs in Indian rupees.

All the three passengers could not produce the supporting documents of this foreign currency nor could they give any satisfactory answer.
