China Occupied Sumdorong Chu Valley During Rajiv Gandhi’s Rule

China occupied the Sumdorong Chu Valley During Rajiv Gandhi’s Rule: BJP MP. Due to the wrong policy of Congress, China is building on the adjoining part of Arunachal Pradesh today – On the other side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), China is increasingly engaged in construction in its region.

It was known recently that China has built many new villages in its part adjacent to Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, now the BJP has blamed it on the 80s from the Congress.

BJP MP from Arunachal Pradesh Tapir Gao said, ‘China has been constructing the road since the 80s. They have made it from Longju to Maza Road. During Rajiv Gandhi’s rule, China occupied the Sumdorong Chu Valley in Tawang.

The then army chief made a plan but Rajiv Gandhi refused him permission to push the PLA back. ‘ The BJP MP said, ‘From the 80s till today, they (China) have been occupying this area and the construction of villages is nothing new.

They have already built a military base between Bisa and Maja within the McMahon Line under Indian territory. He further said that this is happening due to a wrong policy of the government during Congress rule.

He said, ‘At that time, the government did not construct a road to such a extent that it was left under a buffer zone of 3-4 km which was occupied by China. Construction of new villages is not new, it is all inherited from the Congress.

In November, it was revealed that a village is being rapidly constructed by China on the banks of the entire Chu River in the Subansiri district adjacent to the LAC. Pictures of this village taken from satellite also went viral on internet media.

According to the information, a hundred more houses have been built in this village. Let us know that India is keeping a close watch on this construction work of China.

The Foreign Ministry official said that India has also stepped up work on infrastructural facilities. India, on its part, has started building roads, bridges and railroads, etc. at a rapid pace. It will be further intensified in the coming days.
