Chief Minister KCR made a big promise in Telangana, saying- if a non-BJP government is formed in 2024, it will give free electricity to farmers.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday announced to provide ‘free’ electricity supply to all farmers of the country, amid a debate over the free facilities provided by political parties.

Addressing a public meeting in Nizamabad, Telangana, KCR has promised to provide free electricity to the farmers of the country if a non-BJP government is formed in 2024.

The chief minister’s announcement came days after the Supreme Court on August 26 referred the freebies case to a three-judge bench, which said the issue of free gifts given by political parties during election campaigns needed a wider debate.

Chief Minister KCR made a big promise in Telangana: The apex court’s order came on petitions filed against freebies given by political parties.

KCR claimed that a ‘non-BJP flag’ would be hoisted in India after the next general elections, adding that the opposition would come to power at the Centre.

Addressing a rally, KCR said- ‘After the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, we will see non-BJP flag hoisting in India. Our government will be formed in Delhi.

Today from Nizamabad, I am announcing a free power supply to all farmers of the country, if a non-BJP government comes to power.

The DMK government on Monday launched the ‘Excellence and Model Schools Scheme’ scheme in Milanadu. It is based on the advanced infrastructure schools of Delhi.

26 Excellence Schools and 15 Model Schools have been covered under this scheme in the initial phase.

‘Thagaisal Palligal’ and ‘Mathiri Palligal’ are the official Tamil names for the School of Excellence and Model Schools.
