CBSE 12th Board Exam 2021: 12th board exam also canceled, instructions to CBSE to prepare better criteria to decide the result.

In view of the health and safety of the students, the Central Government has canceled the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII board examination.

This decision has been taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The Prime Minister himself tweeted this information.

Earlier, CBSE had also canceled the 10th board exam. After the cancellation of the CBSE 12th board exams, other education boards and states can also make similar decisions.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) has also announced the cancellation of the 12th board examination.

Along with this, the Uttar Pradesh government has also talked about taking a decision soon regarding the 12th examination.

Prime Minister Modi along with his senior colleagues held a high-level review meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Education and CBSE before this decision taken on the Class XII board examination.

In this, along with the status of corona infection, the suggestions received from the states were also discussed, in which all the states had expressed their concern regarding the safety of the students.

After the meeting, PM Narendra Modi said that in view of the health and future of the students, it was decided to cancel the examination.

The serious concern of the students, parents, and teachers regarding the board exams needed to be addressed.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said that there is a need for all concerned to show sensitivity towards students and parents. It is not right to keep them under stress.

There is no compromise on the health of the students, the Prime Minister said in the meeting that no compromise can be made with the health of the students.

At present, these examinations can be risking the lives of the students, so it would be better to cancel them.

Earlier the meeting was chaired by Rajnath Singh. Earlier, on the instructions of the PM, a high-level meeting was held with the states under the leadership of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

In which the opinion of the states regarding the 12th board examination was known.

DM Rajnath Singh, HM Amit Shah along with Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman, Dharmendra Pradhan, Prakash Javadekar, and senior officials of Education Ministry and CBSE were present in Tuesday’s high-level meeting.

How will the result be prepared?

CBSE has not yet prepared any assessment criteria for the examination. In the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, the officials have been asked to prepare a better parameter for the results in a time-bound manner.

Officials said that on the basis of which the 10th results were prepared, the 12th results can also be prepared on the same basis.

CBSE had declared the 10th results on the basis of the performance of the students in the year-long examinations.
