CBI To Record The Statement Of Anil Deshmukh

CBI to record statement of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in case of recovery: Maharashtra.

A special court in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai has allowed the CBI to record the statement of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in connection with the recovery of Rs 100 crore.

The CBI had recently filed a petition seeking permission to record Deshmukh’s statement. CBI will record his statement in Arthur Road jail for three days on March 3, 4, and 5.

Param Bir Singh had alleged that Deshmukh was forcing him to take Rs 100 crore every month from bars and restaurants in Mumbai.

Significantly, during the investigation of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s case.

The CBI sub-inspector was granted bail in the case of leaking of the investigation reports and other confidential documents.

The court of Special Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal at Rouse Avenue granted conditional bail to accused Abhishek Tiwari on a personal bond of Rs one lakh.

The court said that the accused cannot leave the country without the permission of the court. Further, he shall not attempt to influence the evidence and witnesses.

Sachin Vaze withdraws the petition.

Sacked Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze unconditionally withdrew his petition in the Bombay High Court on Wednesday.

In this petition, two orders of the commission set up to probe allegations of corruption against former Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh were challenged.

The court had on Tuesday said that if the petition was not withdrawn, it would be dismissed.

The court had expressed displeasure over the suppression of facts and non-submission of all documents in the petition.

On Wednesday, Vajhe’s lawyer Antoorkar informed the court that Vajhe was withdrawing the petition unconditionally. The court also accepted this.

Vaze, in his petition, had challenged the validity of two orders passed by a commission.

The commission had rejected Vaze’s application to summon Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Milind Bharambe for investigation.

While in a second order, the commission refused to allow him to withdraw his earlier statement against Deshmukh.
