Case filed against former AIADMK leader Sasikala, know what is the matter.

An FIR has been registered against former AIADMK leader VK Sasikala based on a complaint by former minister CV Shanmugam.

The former minister had lodged a police complaint against Sasikala and her supporters for making threats through social media and mobile phones.

The former minister had lodged a complaint with Roshni police station on June 9 and alleged that he had received death threats.

Case filed against former AIADMK leader Sasikala:

CV Shanmugam said that he had issued a statement about Sasikala not being allowed to re-enter the party after which she was given death threats and abuses over the phone.

Shanmugam, in his complaint, had said that he had received over 500 calls on his mobile phone and most of them had received death threats.

Roshni police have registered a case under sections 506 (1) (criminal intimidation), 507 (criminal intimidation by an unknown), 109 (punishment for abetment) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and various sections of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Construction work started for Unit 5 of KNPP: Russian company.

The construction work for Unit 5 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) began on Tuesday.

This information was given by the Russian company Rosatom and told that during the construction of the reactor, the first concrete was poured on the foundation plate.

This is an important development in the course of the construction of a nuclear plant.

‘The official ceremony was held on 29th June in which the first concrete pouring work was done on the foundation plate of Kudankulam NPP Unit 5.’

The Russian company said that the reactor building would be built first.

The government-run Russian company informed that due to restrictions imposed due to the current Covid-19 epidemic, the ceremony was organized through video conference.

The Russian company Rosatom is building this reactor. On 10 April 2014, a General Framework Agreement (GFA) was signed between India and Russia for the construction of Units 3 and 4.

After that talks between the two countries started on the construction of Kudankulam NPP Unit 5 and Unit 6 and later an agreement was reached in this regard.

These units will be manufactured according to the same design that was decided for Unit 3 and Unit 4.
