Case Filed Against ADG Related To Ministry Of Shipping

Case filed against ADG related to the Ministry of Shipping on corruption charges, CBI is investigating. The Central Bureau of Investigation team has registered a case against a senior official of the shipping ministry of India.

The CBI team has registered a case against unknown officials including Sandeep Awasthi on corruption charges and investigation has been started in the case. Sandeep Awasthi is working in the DG office under the Ministry of Shipping in the post of Additional Director General.

Sandeep Awasthi, an officer working on the post of Additional Director General, has been accused that he had taken a bribe of Rs 50,000 in return for improperly helping a businessman.

However, in this case, along with two other officers have also been accused of being involved in this case related to corruption. The CBI team has started registering an FIR, in this case, to investigate the matter in detail.

What is the charge?
Prakash B. in the case registered by CBI. He is accused of unfairly benefitting an accused named Rajput and his company. Prakash B. Rajput is accused of bribing Rs 50 thousand to Additional Director General Sandeep Awasthi on 5 March 2020.

Much important information was received during the investigation of other cases, including Special Civil Application Number -18181 under the Ministry of Shipping, only then the Ministry was entrusted with the investigation of the matter to the CBI.

How the corruption was executed
Actually Prakash B Rajput was a case going on in the High Court in Gujarat, which was being investigated under the leadership of Additional Director General Sandeep Awasthi.

Sandeep Awasthi is alleged to have demanded money from Prakash B Rajput for delay in filing the counter affidavit to be filed by DG Shipping in the Gujarat High Court and had given Rs 6 lakh in lieu of the same. Sandeep Awasthi also took 50 thousand as the initial installment.

The CBI team got information about this matter after which CBI officer RS ​​Gosain took suo motu cognizance and filed an FIR in the case. The CBI team will now investigate this case by raiding several places soon.
