The Calcutta High Court has directed the post-mortem of the dead BJP worker Arjun Chaurasia’s body at an Army hospital instead of a Bengal government-run hospital.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava said that instead of RG Kar Medical College Hospital, the post-mortem should be conducted at Command Hospital, Alipore.

He entrusted the responsibility of handing over the body to the Command Hospital Management from the Medical College Hospital by RG to the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata.

Along with this, videography of the entire process of the post-mortem was also directed. Videography will be done in the presence of the Chief Judicial Magistrate of South 24 Parganas district.

Calcutta High Court directs post-mortem: The head of the command hospital has been asked to constitute an expert team for the postmortem.

In this, the head of forensic science of RG Kar Medical College Hospital Hospital and specialist doctors of Kalyan AIIMS can be included.

The High Court has also directed to provide security to the next of kin of the deceased. The matter will be heard again next Tuesday.

Significantly, BJP leader Priyanka Tibrewal had filed a petition in the High Court saying that the mother of the deceased does not trust the state government.

She does not want her son’s post-mortem to be done in RG Medical College Hospital. Earlier, an application was made to conduct a post-mortem in Kalyani AIIMS.

But due to a lack of post-mortem infrastructure there, later an application was made to conduct a post-mortem at the Command Hospital, Alipore, Kolkata, which was accepted by the Bench.

Significantly, Arjun Chaurasia’s body was found hanging from a noose on Friday morning from an abandoned house in the Kashipur area of ​​North Kolkata.
