Burqa Ban In Sri Lanka: Muslim Organization Of SA Protest

Burqa Ban In Sri Lanka: Muslim Organization Of SA Protest. The South Africa Muslim Organization asked the government to intervene in the case of the burqa ban in Sri Lanka.

The South Africa Muslim Organization (S.African Muslim bodies) has asked its government to intervene in the Burka Ban case in Sri Lanka. The organization has invited the country’s foreign minister to discuss the matter.

Explain that along with the burqa ban in Sri Lanka, this organization has also indicated the discussion about the closure of a large number of Islamic schools.

The Burka Bain in Sri Lanka was announced by the Sri Lankan Minister for Public Safety, Sarath Weerasekera. Explaining the reason behind this, it was said that this could pose a threat to national security.

Verasekera also stated that he has signed a bill for cabinet approval. It calls for a ban on Muslim women wearing burqas on the basis of national security.

The Parliament of Sri Lanka can legislate on it as soon as it is passed by the cabinet.

Along with this, Virasekera told that the government is planning to ban more than a thousand madrasa Islamic schools. In fact, the government believes that these schools are making fun of national education policy.

He said, ‘No one can open a school and cannot teach anything.’ Last year, the government had ordered the burning of those killed by the Muslim community due to Covid-19, and was banned from burial and is now banning burqas and madrasas.

However, the ban on the burial of Muslim bodies was lifted earlier this year when the US and international human rights groups criticized it.

The banning of burqa has been banned in many countries of the world.

Tell that apart from Sri Lanka, many countries of the world have banned the burqa. A few days ago Switzerland also banned the wearing of burqas by holding a referendum.

Pakistan protested.

Earlier, the Pakistani High Commission had also raised a strong objection to the announcement of law on Sri Lanka’s burqa ban.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Sri Lanka had said that this would hurt the sentiments of the Muslims of Sri Lanka and the world. Not only this, but Pakistan had also threatened against this decision in a gesture.
