There was a situation of chaos from morning till afternoon due to the threat of bombing 162 schools of the capital including five schools of Gautam Buddha Nagar, five of Gurugram, and three of Ghaziabad.

As soon as the schools started opening on Wednesday morning and children started arriving, holidays were declared in the schools after many schools received threatening emails one after the other.

Mails started arriving as early as six in the morning. As soon as the school administration noticed the mail, the police were immediately informed and the schools were evacuated.

In those schools where the mail was noticed in the morning, the children who reached school were turned back after being told that the school was closed.

During this time, the drivers of the bus which was reaching the school with the children were asked to send the children back home.

After receiving information from different schools, the team of the local police station, bomb squad, dog squad, cat ambulance, and fire brigade reached the spot, evacuated the entire premises, and started investigating every nook and corner, but no bomb-like object was found anywhere.

When it was not received, everyone heaved a sigh of relief, and the mail was declared fake.

According to Police Headquarters sources, a case has been registered in this matter and the responsibility for the investigation has been handed over to the Special Cell,

But apart from the Crime Branch, all the central agencies have also been asked to cooperate in the investigation. Also, Delhi has been put on high alert.

When several emails came one after the other, not only Delhi Police but also the Home Ministry was shocked.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla summoned Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to the ministry got information about the entire case and directed to arrest the accused as soon as possible.

A brief meeting was also held in the ministry regarding this issue, in which the IB chief also participated.

On the other hand, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena along with Special Commissioner Law and Order Ravindra Singh Yadav went to DAV Public School in Model Town and took stock of the situation and they also informed the Home Secretary about the situation.

Delhi Police taking the help of Interpol.

Delhi Police is also taking the help of Interpol in the investigation. The investigation so far has revealed that identical emails have been sent to all the schools from the same ID.

All schools have been sealed in the threatening BHEL. Finally, instead of dot com, RU (SAWARIM S @mail.ru>;) is written which points towards Russia. This IP address is used in Russia.

The investigating agency also says that it is not necessary that the mails were sent from Russia only. This conspiracy can be hatched using a fake IP address even while sitting in India.

The investigating agency suspects that a Virtual Private Network (VPN) has been created with a Russian Internet Protocol (IP) address.

It is a service used on the Internet that protects data from leaking and provides online privacy. The VPN hides the IP address, due to which the correct IP address cannot be detected.
