Blast In School Near Mizoram Border In Assam

Blast in school near Mizoram border in Assam, tension rises again in both states.

The border dispute between Assam and Mizoram is not taking its name to stop, after a few days of peace, tensions escalated again.

Some unidentified miscreants detonated a bomb on a government educational institution in Hailakandi district, creating fear among the local people.

The school has been closed for a long time due to the Corona epidemic.

Hailakandi Superintendent of Police Gaurav Upadhyay told reporters that a large part of a primary school near the inter-state border in Sahebmara was damaged by the blast around midnight.

However, there is no report of any casualty in this incident.

According to the SP, only after a thorough investigation, further information will be available about who is behind the blast.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that he would write to the Mizoram CM requesting him to investigate the blast.

He said that since the incident happened in our area, Assam Police will investigate it. The local people of the area suspect that miscreants from another side of the border bombed the school.

Let us tell you that three months ago, there was a blast in the Mulwala Lower Primary School in Hailakandi by some unidentified miscreants.

It is noteworthy that in the border dispute between the two states, violence took place on the Assam and Mizoram border in the past in which 6 soldiers of Assam Police were killed.

Seeing the increasing violence, a blockade was imposed on the Assam border by the Mizoram government. Recently, the movement of trucks between the two states started on August 9.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and talked about this issue. This incident on the school has once again increased the tension between the two states.
