An explosion took place in the Bombay market in Karachi’s Kharadar area on Monday evening, killing one woman. At the same time, 10 people were injured.

According to the report, the area around the blast site is densely populated. Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab said at least six people were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

The exact cause of the explosion is not known.

Hospital officials later confirmed that they had found the body of a woman while 10 others were brought in injured condition.

According to the Sama TV report, the exact cause of the blast is not yet known, but locals say that the blast may have been caused by some explosive device.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that they have sent police contingents to the spot. “Police contingent has reached the spot.

As soon as we get more information, we will share details about it,” he said. He said he would not like to speculate about the nature of the blast.

Earlier on May 12, one person was killed and 13 others were injured in a bomb blast in the Sadar area.

Police had said a Pakistan Coast Guard vehicle was a likely target. However, the personnel aboard the vehicle did not suffer any injuries.

Last month, at least four people, including three Chinese nationals, were killed in a horrific suicide bombing in a car on the campus of Karachi University.

Two women were also among the Chinese civilians who lost their lives in this attack. The incident caught the attention of people all over the world and it was condemned from all sides.

Data released by the Pakistan Institute recorded 16 terrorist attacks in the FATA in the month of April.

31 people, including 21 security personnel, seven terrorists, and three civilians, were killed, while 10 people, including six security personnel and four civilians, were injured.

In the same month in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, terrorists carried out 10 attacks, killing 17 people, including 12 security personnel and five civilians, while injuring six people, three civilians, and three security personnel.
