BJP Will Hold Nationwide Strike Against Violence In Bengal
BJP will hold a nationwide strike against violence in Bengal, National Women’s Commission team will come to Bengal today.
The BJP will stage a sit-in across the country against violence in Bengal on Wednesday. BJP president Nadda himself will sit on a dharna in Kolkata.
It is noteworthy that violence, arson, and looting continue in various parts of the state only after the spectacular victory of the ruling TMC as the result of the May 2 assembly elections in Bengal.
The BJP claims that nine of its activists have lost their lives in the attacks by Trinamool workers. Also, a large number of workers have also been injured.
The party has claimed attacks and arson on the houses of hundreds of BJP workers.
The Center has shown a tough stance on the violence that continued after the assembly election results in Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and expressed concern over the violence and asked to take steps to stop it.
Following the stern stance of the Prime Minister and the Home Ministry, the caretaker Chief Minister of Bengal Mamta Banerjee held an important meeting with top state officials at her residence on Tuesday evening.

The National Commission for Women has taken suo moto cognizance of the incident of gang rape of two women activists by BJP candidate Tarak Saha from Nanur in Birbhum district after the TMC’s landslide victory in the Bengal Assembly elections.
Pramukh Rekha Sharma of the National Commission for Women is coming to Bengal on Wednesday and she will meet the aggrieved women along with the team members.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also tweeted and condemned the violence and appealed to Mamta Banerjee to take action.
On the other hand, JP Nadda said, the incidents of violence in Bengal after the election results have made us sad and shocked.
