BJP released the list of candidates, many MLAs including the son of Union minister. The BJP on Sunday released he names of the second phase candidates for the assembly elections in Bihar. In the second round, the party has expressed the most confidence in the youth.
Chanpatia MLA Prakash Rai, Shatrughan Tiwari alias Chokar Baba of Amanore, and Vyasdev Prasad of Siwan have been discharged. Also, the ticket of the son of Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey has been cut. At the same time, BJP has again reposed trust in its MLAs in all the five assembly segments of Patna city.
Voting on November 3 in 94 assembly constituencies
The second phase of polling in 94 assembly constituencies is scheduled on November 3. As per the agreement in the NDA, BJP candidates are in 46 of them. In the second phase the BJP released the list of candidates, the party has given tickets to only two women. One of them Asha Sinha is an MLA from Danapur.
Renu Devi, who lost the chair of the national vice-president, will try her luck with Betia this time too. In 2015, she was defeated by Madan Mohan Tiwari of Congress. Former MP Om Prakash will try his luck in Siwan to reach the assembly this time. After the second phase, the party now has to announce 36 candidates for the third phase.
Those coming from LJP also got gift
Satyendra Singh, who hailed from LJP and joined BJP, has managed to get a ticket from Fatuha. Sheel Kumar Rai, who joined BJP just four days ago, has also got a ticket from Ujiarpur.
He was an MLA from Dalsinghsarai in 2005. After delimitation, Dalsinghsarai’s name was changed to Ujiarpur in almost the same geography.
Bets on aged and experienced veterans
All the sitting MLAs of the capital Patna will try their hand at this area too. Among them are Arun Kumar Sinha, MLA from Kumhar and MLA from Patna Sahib and Nandkishore Yadav, minister in the state government. Chhapra MLA Dr. CN Gupta has also once again reposed faith in the age of 73.
Karnjit Singh alias Vyas Singh, who threw out Bahubali Ajay Singh in Deronda seat, has also relied on the party for the second time. In the Begusarai seat, BJP has given a ticket to Mayor Son and former state convenor of party’s sports cell Kundan Singh against sitting Congress MLA Amita Bhushan.
Chaubey’s son gets disappointed
The party has removed the Bhagalpur seat from the clutches of dynasty. In 2015, Arithwaat, the son of Union Minister Ashwini Chaubey, contested.
He was badly defeated by the Ajit Sharma of Congress. This time, Khanty worker and current District President Rohit Pandey have got the ticket. Rohit Bal is a volunteer.
Satish will compete with stunning
Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will face BJP’s Satish Yadav in Raghopur. Satish is trying his luck for the third time in a row. In 2010, Satish defeated former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, while in 2015, Tejashwi defeated him.

Sanjay Kumar Singh, who took VRS from Public Health Engineering Department two years ago, has been nominated for Lalganj seat. The same seat was contested by Sanjay Singh, elder brother of National Vice-President and former Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh’s son-in-law.
He has also served as the President of Vaishali district twice in the party and is currently a member of the State Working Committee. Citing the parachute candidate getting the ticket, he has announced to contest the Independence ground.
