In Rajasthan, once again a case of a deadly attack on a BJP leader has come to the fore. In Dholpur on Sunday, some people opened fire on BJP city Mandal president Mushtaq Qureshi.

Qureshi narrowly survived the attack. The attackers fled after firing. In this incident, the firing caused a stir in the surrounding area. A large number of people gathered on the spot.

Kotwali police station has also recovered a cartridge from the spot. The police are involved in the investigation of the whole matter. So far no clue of the accused has been found.

Kotwali police station in-charge Anil Jasoria told that Mushtaq Qureshi lives in the Naugaja locality of Old City. Some people opened fire on Mushtaq Qureshi late Sunday evening.

The matter is of old enmity. A complaint has been made on behalf of the victim regarding this. The case is being registered.

The accused will soon be in the custody of the police. The police are investigating the whole matter thoroughly.

Qureshi told that they were leaving the house late in the evening to go to their relatives. Then three people came on a bike. As soon as he arrived, he started firing.

Qureshi told that he somehow saved his life by taking the cover of the gate. The first bullet hit the wall. After this, the attackers fired a second and fled.

On hearing the sound of bullets, the people of the locality gathered. Qureshi said that he has been attacked thrice in the past as well. His family is in a panic due to repeated attacks.

Bharatpur MP Ranjita Koli has also been attacked.

It is noteworthy that BJP MP Ranjita Koli has also been attacked several times in Bharatpur, adjacent to Dholpur district in eastern Rajasthan.

In view of the attack on Koli, additional security has been provided to him. On the other hand, BJP leader Kripal Singh Jaghina was shot dead in Bharatpur recently.

The BJP has surrounded the Gehlot government many times over the attacks on BJP leaders in East Rajasthan. Local BJP leaders allege that they are being selectively targeted.
