BJP Leader Kripa Ranjan Chakma Shot Dead In Tripura

BJP leader Kripa Ranjan shot dead in Tripura, a party accused of a political conspiracy. Kripa Ranjan Chakma, a ruling BJP leader in Tripura, was shot and killed by some unknown people on Saturday.

Police said that two or three armed attackers attacked the tribal leader’s house in Manikpur in Dhalai district in the early hours and killed him on the spot.

An intensive campaign has been launched under the leadership of senior police officers to raid the killers. A local suspect, in this case, has been detained.

The BJP has termed the incident as a political conspiracy in view of the impending election of Tripura tribal area autonomous district council.

BJP spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharya has described Chakma’s murder as shocking, saying he was a dedicated activist for the welfare and development of tribals.

He was active in politics from the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Chhattisgarh: Naxalites shot dead a DRG jawan who went to see a cock fight.

District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawan Sukaluram Dugga (40) was shot dead by the Naxalites at Salihapara market near Paratapur, 16 km from Karkaghat Camp in the district.

During this period, rural Muraharam Tandia (60) was also shot. He has been admitted to Pakhanjur Hospital. Naxalites escaped after the incident.
