BJP Did Not Announce Sreedharan’s Name For CM Candidate

BJP did not announce Sreedharan’s name for the chief ministerial candidate in Kerala, K Surendran clarifies.

Bharatiya Janata Party president K Surendran made it clear on Friday that the party’s central leadership will announce a candidate for the chief minister’s post from the BJP for the upcoming Kerala assembly elections.

A day earlier, the state party president had announced the name of Metro man E Sreedharan as the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate in the state.

But today he said that what he had said is the desire of the party and the people, who are interested to see Sreedharan.

He said during a press conference, ‘I have not announced the name of E Sreedharan as a candidate for the BJP’s Chief Minister and it will be announced by the central leadership of the party.’

He reiterated that people want Sreedharan’s leadership. He said, ‘V Muralitharan had tweeted that based on media reports, Sreedharan would be the chief ministerial candidate which I announced.’

Congress leader Siddaramaiah wrote to PM Modi, said – Corona vaccination should be ensured for all free of cost.
