BJP And TMC Vying On The Support Of Women

BJP and TMC vying to support half the population: Bengal Assembly Elections 2021.

The BJP and the TMC are vying to support half the population of Bengal in their favor.

The reason for this is clear because, in the last Lok Sabha election, a large group of women voters of Bengal voted in favor of BJP, which resulted in the party winning 18 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats here.

Similarly, in the Bihar elections, the vote of women in the BJP account was more.

This is the reason why BJP and Trinamool Congress are leaving no stone unturned to help women, voters, before the upcoming assembly elections.

In an effort to gain support, issues related to women are being raised. Out of the total voters of the state, the number of women voters is about 49 percent.

Both BJP and Trinamool are accusing each other of failing to ensure the safety of women. At the same time, both the parties are counting the developmental schemes and achievements launched by their respective governments for women.

Of the 7.18 crore voters in the state, 3.15 crore are women. This is a number that no party can ignore.

Although the women voters have stood strong in support of the Trinamool Congress, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, a large group of them supported the BJP.

After this, the ruling party in the state is trying to woo them again.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee formed the party’s non-political front ‘Bango Janani’ to highlight her government’s development plans .

The rise in crimes against women in BJP-ruled states after the poor performance of the Trinamool Congress in the 2019 elections.

Trinamool is claiming to benefit women and girls by implementing many schemes like Kanyashree, Roopashree in 10 years of its government.

At the same time, the health partner (free treatment up to five lakhs) scheme has been expanded to become female-centric.

Priority is given to women members of the household in this scheme.

BJP is also not behind in this. It is targeting the Trinamool over the increasing crime cases against women in the state.

From the Ujjwala scheme to the BJP, many other central schemes are being talked about.

At the same time, Mamta is also besieging the government regarding compensation to rape victims. BJP is questioning whether the government is buying women’s honor.
