Bill To regulate unauthorized colonies in Delhi Approved. Illegal colonies of Delhi will be regular, the bill passed in Parliament, millions will benefit.

The Parliament on Wednesday approved the amendment bill to regulate unauthorized colonies in the national capital. Through this, the time limit of the related law has been extended to 31 December 2023.

The Bill was first approved by the Rajya Sabha and passed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The National National Capital Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Act-2021 Bill was passed by voice after discussion in the lower house amid slogans of Congress members in the Lok Sabha on the issue of central agricultural laws.

Puri said previous governments had taken extreme care in regularizing colonies.

Responding to the discussion on the bill, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the previous governments had taken extreme care in regularizing these colonies of Delhi.

Puri said that there is a perception among the public that there was a delay in regularizing the colonies while some political parties were in power.

Without naming any party, he said that no government had taken this issue seriously before. Puri said that if the corona epidemic had not occurred, the work of regularizing unauthorized colonies would have been substantially completed.

Following the Minister’s reply, the House approved the bill by voice. The related law of 2011 was valid till December 31 of the previous year.

Earlier, BJP’s Meenakshi Lekhi, who started the discussion on the Bill, said that the Delhi Chief Minister has announced that he wants to make Delhi Singapore by 2047.

These people do similar things before the elections. But no action was taken in due time, due to which this law is being brought. He alleged that the Delhi government did not do any work to regularize unauthorized colonies.

A brick cannot be built without passing the map, GDA will break 1000 illegal constructions.

Ghaziabad Development Authority will not be able to put a brick anywhere in the notified area without passing the map.

More than a hundred colonizers who have developed a colony on agricultural land have been put to sleep with the strictness regarding illegal constructions.  The GDA has issued a decree to demolish one thousand illegal constructions in the next one month.

The GDA has sent a letter to the DM and SSP demanding the deployment of magistrates along with the police force while issuing the demolition program for this.

It may be a little difficult to get the force due to the ongoing demonstration at the UP Gate, but the operation will continue on the force of the GDA Police.
