He was told to pay $100,000 for the murder and an advance of $15,000 was also given. Fletcher said that the person he thought was the hitman was an undercover agent.
Fletcher further said that the government’s evidence includes the phone seized from Gupta, in which his conversation with the Indian government employee is recorded.
Along with electronic devices, there is also material from the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Agency. Apart from this, there are also videos and audio of Gupta’s conversation with the hitman.
