Bharat Biotech updated regarding nasal corona vaccine, waiting for a license from DCGI for children’s vaccine.

An update has come out about Bharat Biotech’s Corona’s Nasal Vaccine i.e. Corona Vaccine given through the nose.

The company has informed that the Phase-2 trial of this vaccine is almost complete. It has shown good results. This vaccine will help prevent the spread of corona infection.

This information has been given by the company’s director and chairman, Dr. Krishna Eela. Regarding the children’s corona vaccine.

He said that permission is awaited from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for this.

Significantly, for the corona vaccination of all children above two years of age, Bharat Biotech’s Vaccine Covaccine has been recommended by the Subject Expert Committee (SEC).

Now DGCI’s decision on this is awaited. Earlier, Zydus Cadila’s vaccine Zycov-D has been approved for children aged 12 to 18 years. In such a situation, corona vaccination of children can start soon.

In the Corona vaccination campaign, on Thursday, India created a new history by crossing 100 crore doses.

Regarding this, Dr. Krishna Eela said that India has done a wonderful job in achieving the figure of 100 crore vaccinations with the collective efforts from the government to the citizens.

Bharat Biotech updated regarding nasal corona vaccine: Let us inform you that at present, people above 18 years of age are getting corona vaccination in the country.

Three vaccines are being used for this age group. In addition to Bharat Biotech’s Covaxine, the Serum Institute of India’s Covishield and Russian Vaccine Sputnik V are being used.

The corona vaccination campaign started on 16 January. Health workers and frontline workers were first vaccinated.

After this, on March 1, all people above 45 and above 60 years with serious illnesses were allowed to be vaccinated.

On April 1, all people above 45 years of age were allowed to be vaccinated. From May 1, all people above 18 years of age started getting vaccinated.
