Bengal Assembly Elections 2021: Congress-Left Alliance

Bengal Assembly Elections 2021: Congress leadership approves alliance with Left Front in Bengal, will contest elections together.

In Bengal, the Congress and the Left Front will contest in the upcoming assembly elections in the coming year.

State Congress President and Leader of Congress Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha, Adhir Chaudhary tweeted on Thursday .

Today the Congress high command has formally approved the electoral alliance with CPI (M) -led Left Front in Bengal assembly elections.

For the 2021 assembly elections in Bengal, Adhir had said that there should be an alliance between Left Front and Congress to stop both Mamata Banerjee and BJP in Bengal.

In such a situation, on Thursday, the Congress high command gave formal approval to the electoral alliance with the Left parties.

Earlier, from the CPI (M) Politburo to the Central Committee, it has agreed to an alliance with the Congress.

Let us tell you that in the 2016 assembly elections, there was a seat agreement between the Left Front and the Congress.

At the same time, Adhir Chaudhary took over the command of the state Congress.

However, despite a lot of efforts in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there could not be an alliance between the two parties. Assembly elections are due in Bengal next year.

The BJP has also put full force for the election here. For the first time in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has become the main opposition party in the state.

The party won 18 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in a historic performance.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had an edge in only 28 assembly segments, while in 2019, the party was ahead in 128 assembly seats.

On the other hand, TMC, which had an edge in 214 regions in 2014, was ahead in 158 regions in 2019.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is constantly strategizing on Bengal.

On 20 December in Bengal, he said that the way the National President JP Nadda was attacked by the Trinamool activists and whatever violence is happening, the BJP will respond in a democratic manner.

The BJP will win more than 200 seats and will be the next Chief Minister from the soil of Bengal.
