Australia had a target of 129 runs for victory, which they achieved without any wicket in just 14 overs. David Warner made 70 and Eran Finch made an unbeaten knock of 61 runs and won easily.
Earlier, after losing the toss, the Sri Lankan team looked helpless in front of the Australian bowling after a good start and the entire team was all out on the score of 128 runs.
Sri Lanka lost its first wicket on 39 runs while the second wicket on 100, but after that, within just 28 runs, the team lost its remaining 8 wickets.
Charith Aslanka scored the most runs for Sri Lanka. He scored 38 runs in 34 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. Apart from him, Pathum Nisanka played an innings of 36 runs.

The Australian bowlers dominated the match against Sri Lanka. Josh Hazlewood took 4 wickets giving only 16 runs in 4 overs. He completely ended Sri Lanka’s batting by taking 3 wickets in the 14th over.
He sent Kushal Mendis off the first ball of the 14th over, Bhanuka Rajapaksa on the fourth ball, and Dasun Shanaka on the last ball. Due to his superb bowling, he has been adjudged the player of the match.
Apart from Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc got 3 and Kane Richardson dismissed a player. The second T20 match will be played on June 8 at Premadasa ground.
