The Assam Disaster Management Authority said that 2,02,385 people have been affected so far in 24 districts including Cachar, Charaideo, Darang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, and Dima-Hasao.

So far 7 people have died due to floods and landslides. Apart from this, many people are also missing. Relief and rescue work is going on by the administration.

In Cachar, 55 relief camps and 12 distribution centers have been set up by the district administration. About 33 thousand flood-affected people have taken shelter here.

Army, paramilitary forces, fire and emergency services, SDRF, civil administration, and trained volunteers have been deployed for relief and rescue operations.

A joint venture between the Cachar district administration and the Assam Rifles has rescued flood victims in the Barakhla area and sent them to relief camps.

Brahmaputra water level above the danger mark.

Meanwhile, the water level of the Brahmaputra river has crossed the danger mark. The river Kopili in Nimtighat in Jorhat district and Kampur area of ​​Nagaon district is also above the danger mark.

All passengers were rescued from Ditochera station.

Many people were stuck at Ditochera station due to incessant rain on Monday. All the passengers stranded at Ditochera station have been rescued.

A statement issued by the Northeast Frontier Railway said that around 1600 railway passengers stranded at the station have been rescued. The passengers have been sent to Badarpur and Silchar.
