Lok Sabha Election 2024: Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a public meeting in Patiala, Punjab.

During this, he claimed that North India and West India have already given 100 percent of their seats to Prime Minister Modi.

What did CM Sarma say?

Addressing a meeting on Monday, CM Sarma told the people that ‘North India and West India have already given 100 percent of their seats to PM Modi.

This time Eastern India is also in a mood to give all its seats to them. I think things are good for us in Punjab also.

You just need to understand that neither Aam Aadmi Party nor Congress, Bhagwant Mann nor Rahul Gandhi can give good leadership to Punjab.

Preneet Kaur filed a nomination from Patiala.

Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday and accompanied, BJP candidate Preneet Kaur as she filed nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections from Patiala.

During this, he also addressed a public meeting in Patiala. Voting will be held in a single phase for 13 seats in Punjab.

In the seventh and final phase on June 1, voting will be held in Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadur Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Sangrur, and Patiala constituencies.

Kejriwal Defamation case: Relief to Arvind Kejriwal in Dhruv Rathi video case, Supreme Court gave this order to CM.

In the defamation case of retweeting a video of Dhruv Rathi, the Supreme Court has given time to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to resolve the dispute with the complainant.

Regarding the hearing in this case on Monday, the bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta said that the interim stay already given will continue till further orders.

No contact with the complainant after March 11.

Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Kejriwal, said that after the last hearing on March 11, both parties could not contact each other to discuss the settlement.

Kejriwal has challenged the Delhi High Court order upholding the summons issued to him in a criminal defamation case in May 2018.
