Assam BJP President – Parliamentary Board Will Decide CM

Assam BJP president said- will decide on the Chief Minister in the meeting of the Central Parliamentary Board in Delhi.

Two days have passed since the result of the assembly elections in Assam. The BJP-led coalition has got a clear majority in the assembly, but despite this, no decision has been taken on the next chief minister of the state.

However, Assam BJP President Ranjit Kumar Das said so much on Tuesday that one of the current Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal or Senior Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be given the command of the state.

Chief Minister’s decision will be taken in the meeting of the Central Parliamentary Board.

He said that the decision of the next Chief Minister of the state will be taken in the party’s Central Parliamentary Board meeting to be held in Delhi.

The party is sending a supervisor, who will give his feedback to the parliamentary board.

Assam BJP president said- Sonowal or Sarma will be the chief minister.

Talking to reporters, Das said, Sonowal or Sarma, either of them will be the Chief Minister. Every man knows this. I request our MLAs and activists to have some patience.

However, the Parliamentary Board has not contacted me, so I think the observer will reach Assam in a day or two.

Union Agriculture Minister Tomar’s visit to Guwahati postponed.

Party sources said that Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was expected to reach Guwahati on Tuesday to reach a consensus on the leadership issue, but his visit has been postponed.

BJP vice-president and Assam in charge of the party, Baijayant Panda, had a separate meeting with Sonowal and Sarma on Monday but did not tell the waiting reporters about the outcome of the meeting.

BJP did not present anyone as the Chief Minister in the election.

Before the election, there was speculation that Sarma would be made the Chief Minister of the state if the BJP gets electoral success in Assam.

However, the party did not announce anyone’s name as of 2016. Sonowal was projected as the chief minister by the BJP in the last assembly election.
