Arya, a 21-year-old Girl Will Be Youngest Mayor Of The Country

Arya, 21-year-old girl will be the youngest mayor of the country in Thiruvananthapuram, know about her.

Arya Rajendran, a 21-year-old student in Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram, will be the youngest mayor in the country.

The CPI (M) District and State Committee have approved her candidature. Arya, a BSc mathematics student, has been elected a councilor for the first time from Mudavanmugal in the city.

The party has put forward her name for the post of Mayor, hoping that more educated women will come in leadership roles.

The party has won 51 seats in the 100-member corporation. Whereas BJP is the main opposition party with 35 seats and Congress-led UDF has got only 10 seats.

Four independents have also been elected.

Talking to reporters on her selection, Arya said that this is the party’s decision and I am bound by it. In the election people preferred me as a student.

People wanted that their representative should be educated. I will continue to carry out the responsibilities of the Mayor while continuing my studies.

Who is Arya Rajendran

Arya studies at All Saints College in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. She is a second year student of BSc Mathematics.

She has been very active in politics from a young age. She is currently a member of the State Committee of the Student Federation of India.

She is also the Kerala President of Balasangam. Balasangam is the children’s wing of CPM.

Before the election, she said that if she wins the election, she will work on improving the lower primary schools instead of the ongoing development works.

Talking to reporters, she told that she will happily play the role given by the party. Arya has expressed hope that her studies and political work will go on simultaneously.

Arya was the youngest candidate in the recently completed election. In this election, the Left Democratic Front won 5 out of 6 municipal corporations.

Not only this, the LDF also registered a huge success in the district panchayat elections.
