Anti-Tank Mine Found From A Farm In Samba: J&K

Anti-tank mine found from a farm in Samba, security forces deactivated. Tuesday, an anti-tank mine was found in the field in the border village of Banglad in the samba district.

Farmer Darbari Lal was working in his field in village Banglad. During this, an anti-tank mine was found. Seeing the mine, the farmer got scared and informed the villagers about it.

The villagers immediately informed the Border Security Force personnel. The soldiers who reached the spot took possession of the anti-tank mine and informed the police.

The bomb disposal squad of the police defused him after seeing the vacant place. Local resident Sunil Kumar lost one leg in 2001 from one such mine.

Sunil told that if someone had stepped on it or if a tractor had climbed, then there could have been a big accident. He demanded the administration to search the entire area again.

It is worth noting that many such anti-tank mines are found in the border village, but getting anti-tank mines is a serious matter.

Such mines were installed in the border areas only during the Kargil war, after that all the mines were removed and the fields were handed over to the farmers. But still, sometimes mines are found.
