Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s letter to PM Modi, requesting singer Balasubramanian to be awarded the ‘Bharat Ratna’ award. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to confer the ‘Bharat Ratna’ award on late singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.

He died on 25 September at the age of 74.

CM Reddy wrote in his letter, ‘To pay tribute to singer SP Balasubramanian, who has made his significant contribution to art and music, I request you to honor him with Bharat Ratna’. He said that the singer has worked in the music world for five decades, which is still in people’s memory and will always be.

Honoring him with Bharat Ratna will be the greatest honor for him and his work. Significantly, the main composers like Lata Mangeshkar, Bhupen Hazarika, MS Subbulakshmi, Bismillah Khan and Bhimsen Joshi have been awarded Bharat Ratna.

Died at the age of 74

Legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam died on 25 September at MGM Hospital in Chennai at the age of 74. He was hospitalized in August following infection with Covid-19.

Although his Covid-19 test report came negative after treatment, he was kept on ventilator in the hospital due to poor health. On Thursday (24 September), his health deteriorated and he was put on the life support system.

40 thousand songs sung in 16 languages

SP Balasubramanian started his playback career in 1967. He has sung nearly 40 thousand songs in 16 languages ​​including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

The film industry is shocked by the death of SP Balasubramanian. Many celebs including Rehman, Lata Mangeshkar paid tribute to him, terming his demise a huge loss for the industry.

Many villages affected by heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, fire brigade rescued a couple in flood

A couple trapped in a village called Vallurupalem in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh has been rescued by a firing squad. It was told that the water level had increased due to continuous rains here.

According to the locals, horticulture crops in Pamula Lanka and Thodela Dibka Lanka villages were also submerged in the floodwaters.
