Amit Shah pays tribute to martyred security personnel in Naxalite attack, CM Baghel is also present.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid tributes to 14 security personnel who lost their lives in the Naxalite attack on the Sukma-Bijapur border in Jagdalpur.

Bijapur Superintendent of Police Kamalochan Kashyap had said, “22 security personnel have lost their lives in a Naxalite attack in Sukma-Bijapur, Chhattisgarh”.

Amit Shah pays tribute to martyred security personnel: The Chhattisgarh Police said that about 31 were injured in the encounter in Bijapur on Saturday.

Kuldeep Singh, Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who is in Chhattisgarh to monitor the situation after the Naxalite attack, said on Sunday that there was no intelligence or operational failure in the operation at all.

Singh said that around 25-30 Naxalites were also killed, although the exact number has not been ascertained.

DG CRPF told a leading media agency, ‘It is no surprise to say that there was any kind of intelligence or operational failure.

If it was some intelligence failure, the army would not have gone for the operation. And if some operational failure happens, so many Naxalites would not be killed.

On the casualties of the Naxalites in the encounter, the DG said, ‘Three tractors were used by the Naxals to carry the bodies of the injured and the dead from the site.

It is difficult to say what is the exact number of Naxalites killed in the operation, but it will not be less than 25-30.
