Amit Shah J&K Visit: Amit Shah arrives in Srinagar to review the security scenario in Kashmir.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Srinagar today amid light rain. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha welcomed him.
The Home Minister, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from today, will review the security scenario of Jammu and Kashmir in the meeting of the Integrated Headquarters, besides meeting representatives of Panchayat institutions.
Apart from laying the foundation stone of two medical colleges, he will also review the ongoing schemes under the Prime Minister’s Development Program. Apart from this, he will also flag off the first direct flight from Srinagar to Sharjah.
This is Home Minister Amit Shah’s first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act on August 5, 2019.
Before their visit, 11 civilians have been killed in Kashmir in 20 days. 17 terrorists have been killed in various encounters.
After the killings of non-Kashmiri and non-Muslims, the migration of workers from different states in Kashmir continues for several days.
Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the security review meeting at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar at 12.30 pm today.
He will interact with the members of youth clubs of J&K through video conference at 4.30 pm and will inaugurate Srinagar-Sharjah international flight through VC at 6 pm.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir is starting from Saturday, 23 October.
Shah will take stock of the security scenario of Jammu and Kashmir in the meeting of the Integrated Headquarters, besides meeting representatives of panchayat institutions.
He will also review the development plans issued under the Prime Minister’s Development Program along with laying the foundation stone of two medical colleges.
Shah will flag off the first direct flight from Srinagar to Sharjah. He will also address a public meeting in Jammu.
In view of the visit of the Home Minister and the current situation in Kashmir, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to send an additional 50 companies of central paramilitary forces to strengthen the security apparatus.
