America Is Sending Weapons To Ukraine By Sea Route

America is sending weapons to Ukraine by sea, and so far it has helped so many dollars.

The US Defense Department has started sending arms consignments to Ukraine by sea. The Washington Post gave this information quoting US defense officials.

The ships are capable of transporting large quantities of cargo, despite being slower than aircraft, which could allow Kyiv to build up a larger weapons arsenal, the newspaper said on Saturday.

US defense officials told The Washington Post that the Pentagon began shipping weapons to Ukraine by sea, weeks after Russia launched its special military operation in late February, but this spring sea shipping became widespread.

‘We will need more ammunition.’

“Once we started providing howitzers to them, we knew we would need more ammunition,” said Army Colonel Steven Puthoff, deputy director of operations at US Transportation Command.

So, we can plan ahead a little bit, and then we can start using more SeaLift to provide that support and get it sometimes even earlier than requested.

The US Department of Defense previously announced that it would provide US$775 million in additional military assistance to Ukraine, including HIMARS missiles, artillery, and mine-clearing systems.

Announcement of a new package of US $ 2.98 billion.

Earlier this week, the United States announced a new US$2.98 billion package of military aid for Ukraine, including six additional nationally advanced surface-to-air missile systems from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).

(NASAMS), which finances the US defense industry to promote the production of certain weapons.

Delivery of military equipment will start next month.

Most of the previous security packages for Ukraine were presidential drawdown packages that shipped weapons and equipment from the US national defense stockpile.

However, the United States does not have in stock the NASAMS that are immediately available to Ukraine.

NITI’s Under Secretary of Defense Kalin Kahl said deliveries of military equipment in a US$2.98 billion package would begin over the next several months and would continue for years to come.

Since 1993, the United States has engaged more than 100 countries for the safe and secure disposal of landmines and explosive weapons of war (ERW).

As well as the safe and secure disposal of additional small arms and light weapons (SA/LW) and ammunition.

“The United States is the world’s largest financial supporter of conventional weapons of destruction,” the statement said.

US gave 11.8 billion US dollars to Ukraine.

In total, the United States has committed approximately US$9.8 billion in security aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden administration.

Since 2014, the United States has committed more than US$11.8 billion in security aid to Ukraine.
