All the schemes of MSME will be available in 50 districts of the country, currently, the pilot project is going to start from 10 districts.
The Ministry of MSME is going to launch all its major schemes in 50 aspirational districts of the country.
In these, mainly from the establishment of industrial clusters in those districts, a special campaign will be run for the Prime Minister’s employment generation program.
Apart from this, programs related to technology development, marketing promotion schemes, skill development of the Ministry of MSME will also be run.
According to ministry sources, at present, this program is going to be started in pilot form from 10 aspirational or less developed districts.
After that, this program will be run in the remaining 40 districts. These 10 districts include Kalahandi, Palamu, Chandrapur along Haridwar of Uttarakhand.
A senior official of the ministry said that all the major schemes will be implemented by the MSME Ministry at its level with the help of the states.
The Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) of the State and the Center will set up industrial clusters in these districts and this work will be completed within the stipulated time.
According to ministry sources, industrial clusters will be set up keeping in mind the local agricultural produce of all the districts.
For example, if the production of rice is high in Kalahandi, then a processed unit of rice will be set up there.
He told that Haridwar has been selected because there are industries there, but they are not getting encouragement.
A special campaign will be run for employment generation.
According to ministry sources, a special campaign can be run in these aspirational districts for the PM’s Employment Generation Scheme of MSMEs so that the youth of that place can start their business.
Along with providing training for skill development of those youth, help will also be given in marketing their products.
ODOP will be given an incentive.
According to sources, the Ministry of MSME will also make a special contribution in making the One District One Product (ODOP) program successful in aspirational districts.
Under ODOP, special attention will be given to the production of any one product of all the districts which can also be exported.
